Agencies, agents and roles
The levels now read Assistant › Agency › Agent › Role › Bot. An agency is a team of agents (Client support), an agent is one focused job (CSA), a role groups the bots that do one part of it. Agent city shows them as streets, buildings, floors, rooms and bays.
Two words changed meaning and one level became visible. What was called an agent is now an agency. What was called a sub agent is now an agent. What was a step is now a role. Nothing was deleted or moved: every grade, run, bot and link is where it was, and every old address still lands on the right page.
- Agents tab is now Agencies (/app?tab=agencies; ?tab=agents still works). Open any agency, agent, role or bot from the same report card window.
- Agent city: one street per assistant, a building per business, a floor per agency, a room per agent and a bay per role. One switch in the top corner turns a whole agency on or off; the arrow beside it lists its agents, each with its own switch and report card. A switch is the same on/off as on Bots.
- Addresses: /agency/<id> and /agent/<id> find the right page from the id, so old bookmarks keep working. /sub-agent/<id> and /task/<id> redirect.
- MCP: new tools list_agencies, create_agency, rename_agency, delete_agency, archive_agency, restore_agency, attach_agent_to_agency, detach_agent_from_agency, create_role, rename_role, delete_role, archive_role, restore_role, attach_bot_to_role and attach_bot_to_agent. The old step and task names still work. list_agents, create_agent, rename_agent, delete_agent, archive_agent and restore_agent explain themselves until 2026-11-12, when they will mean agents. Until then use the *_sub_agent tools for agents.
- REST: POST /api/v1/agents/:id/run answers 410 until 2026-11-15 and runs agents from then on. /api/v1/sub-agents/:id/run is unchanged.
